Karl is in prison, and he’s angry, and noone can seem to calm him down, least of all Father Caswell the prison chaplain. Then he gets a new cell-mate, Si. Who knows some extraordinary stories that might just set Karl free.

Paul and Silas find themselves behind bars. The Philippian community are outraged at these troublemakers that have come to the city. Their jailer doesn't want any trouble - one earthquake later and they find that true freedom has nothing to do with bars.

The Beyond Bars performance is followed by a
workshop exploring the theme of forgiveness
Beyond Bars can be performed for an audience up to 100 and runs for an hour. The workshop to follow can see up to 30 participants and runs for approx 1 hour.
The Beyond Bars programme is suited for men’s prisons, and can run twice in a day, for two seperate groups in the same prison.
It is offered for free thanks to funding from generous support from various organisations and individuals (although we would appreciate a meal while in prison and a contribution towards travel if possible)
